Just a few minutes ago I finished my last ever session in the studio I have occupied since 1999. I made the decision a month or so ago to leave this studio space and work out of my house. You can still reach me by calling 706 602 1997. I’m not quitting Photography but I will be pursuing other types of work. I’ll still be doing my Easter sessions and Santa sessions but other than those, no studio work. I’ll still offer location work (beach, Spring and Fall outdoors, etc) but the main focus of what I’ll be doing is volume stuff like Schools, Dance Schools, Daycares, Cheer Teams, Gymnastics Schools, Ball Teams, etc. So, If you know of any contacts I could use for that type of work I would appreciate you letting me know.
I thought about making this move for months before finally coming to the very hard to make decision. I think the hardest part was the thought of leaving a “Known” for an “unknown”. Once I came to peace with with the change I can say I haven’t been this happy in a long, long while. I really enjoy what I do but I just haven’t enjoyed being tied to the studio every day for a while now. I wondered if I was going to be sad turning my studio lights off after the last session and surprisingly, the answer is no. It’s just one more step toward my new adventure.
So, I hope you’ll be happy for me, wish me luck and call me when you need Location Photography, or any type of School, Team, Church Fundraiser Photography, etc.
Now that that’s out of the way, I have a TON… probably several tons of stuff I have no desire to move. I will be selling almost everything starting Dec 14th and I’m going to try me best to be out of the building by Christmas.
If you or anyone you know is remotely interested in buying any studio photography stuff I have a LOT of it and I’m more interested in moving it out than I am in getting top dollar. Show up at the studio Saturday, Dec 14th and Sunday Dec 15th (maybe before for some stuff).
Some but not all of the stuff I’ll be selling include many baby posers, painted canvas backgrounds, died and painted muslins, background rollers, Soft Boxes from Larson, Chimera, Photoflex, and others, Camera bags, a Photogenic Rail System and almost everything else down to the vacuum cleaner. I’m only keeping my lights, cameras, printing equipment and a couple of pieces of furniture.
Also, Once I get the move behind me (It’ll probably be February) I’ll be offering to sell you all the digital negatives I’ve done for you over the years. All I can find any way. I have a pretty good filing system but occasionally something does come up missing. If you’re interested in that give me a call and get on that list. If you have to leave a message I will call back when I get to that project.
